Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels
- Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations
- To negotiate prices and order follow up with suppliers
- Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm to choose supplier after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
- To liaise closely with warehouse, suppliers and to ensure on time delivery
- Monitor approvals from Superintendent/Technical Manager
- Give forwarding instructions to supplier
- Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries
- Contact with vessel’s port agents
- Custom clearance
- Make necessary formal bookings for service and repairs based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager
- Maintain and update supplier’s database on various platform.
- Other ad-hoc duties authorized by the management
Job Requirements:
- Diploma holder in related field/discipline
- Self-motivated individual with minimum 3 years experience in marine industries is a MUST
- Possess initiative and able to multi-tasks
- Resourceful with good negotiation skills
- Tech Savvy, adaptable to working with ERP,SHIPNET
