Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels
  • Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations
  • To negotiate prices and order follow up with suppliers
  • Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm to choose supplier after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
  • To liaise closely with warehouse, suppliers and to ensure on time delivery
  • Give forwarding instructions to supplier
  • Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries
  • Contact with vessel’s port agents
  • Custom clearance
  • Make necessary formal bookings for service and repairs based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager
  • Maintain and update supplier’s database on various platform.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma holder in related field/discipline
  • Self-motivated individual with minimum 3 years experience in marine

industries is a MUST

  • Possess initiative and able to multi-tasks
  • Resourceful with good negotiation skills
  • Tech Savvy, adaptable to working with ERP
